Health Festival: A Family Day Dedicated to Community Wellness

At Wakate, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and community welfare, promoting social development and our philosophy of neighborliness.

At Wakate we are committed to sustainability. We continue strengthening our philosophy of neighborliness through initiatives that promote the well-being of local communities.

In collaboration with the GreenLand Foundation, the company celebrated Family Day by holding the Health Festival, an event that reflects our strategy of forging strong bonds with the community with actions that make a difference

On May 25, more than 600 people, including employees and their families, gathered at the Entre Arroyos farm to participate in a day that combined health, care and family recreation.

The Health Festival offered general medicine, pediatrics, oral hygiene, optometry and psychology services, as well as vaccination against influenza and tetanus.

During the event, each participant received comprehensive medical attention and enjoyed a day of coexistence and joy, which culminated with a talent show by some employees, closing the day with an atmosphere of community celebration.

In order to bring these services closer to all areas of operation, Wakate replicated this event on September 7 for the employees of our nursery and their families.

Some 120 people collaborated in a day dedicated to medical attention and recreational activities, providing services directly to the community.

Commitment to sustainability and community well-being

As part of our sustainability strategy, Wakate goes beyond responsible agricultural practices and environmental conservation by promoting social development and well-being within the communities where we operate.

Through diverse initiatives, such as the recently held Family Day and Health Fair, we seek to strengthen the ties between our company and our neighbors and contribute towards the improvement of the quality of life of our employees and their families.

“At Wakate, we believe that sustainability is not only measured by our environmental impact, but also by the way we contribute to the welfare and development of our communities. Through different initiatives, we seek to strengthen our bond with them, offering opportunities to improve the quality of life of our employees and their families.” commented Victor Manuel Henriquez Restrepo, Wakate spokesman.

Through these types of activities, we reaffirm our commitment to being an agent of positive change, integrating our sustainability into concrete actions that directly impact the well-being of our neighboring communities.
